Banana Pudding with Shortbread Cookies
I was recently visiting with a friend and she was telling me about this awesome Banana Pudding. I asked her for the recipe and what she told me was "oh you know, those Shortbread Cookies and some bananas and pudding." Like so many of us, that's the way I often times have received a recipe through the years. So I have to say that this is my version of the verbal recipe that I received from my friend. I know one thing for sure, she was absolutely right the pudding is so rich and delicious. Our family just loved this dessert and we will be making it again and again.

I've only ever made banana pudding with vanilla wafers. Shortbread would be luscious! I need to give that a try.
ReplyDeleteOH, yum! I'll be trying this!
ReplyDeleteWhat a GREAT treat for the whole family!!
ReplyDeleteThis banana pudding looks sooooooooooooooo GOOD
Oh this looks yummy especially using shortbread. Thanks for sharing with us at #OvertheMoon.
ReplyDeleteI think those are the best recipes - where the recipe's been made so many times it's just passed along like that. :) I'm also liking how those shortbread cookies look in this banana pudding!
ReplyDeleteWhat a lovely recipe, Miz Helen! I'm excited to find it as we can't get Vanilla Wafers very easily in the UK. They don't sell them here so only speciality importers have them at a really high price. It's so nice to have a Banana Pudding recipe that uses cookies that are easily available. Tweeting. Thank you so much for bringing this recipe to the Hearth and Soul Hop.
ReplyDeleteWho doesn't love banana pudding and with shortbread cookies - genius! Thank you so much for sharing this with the Delicious Dishes Recipe Party!
