Yard of The Month
For a number of years now our community has awarded a Yard of The Month to residents who have an outstanding yard throughout the year and whose yard is outstanding in that month. We were so honored when the committee came knocking at our door with sign in hand saying "Congratulations Your Yard is our Yard of The Month for December. Of course we are very honored to receive this award. My husband Leonard is the guy that makes it happen.
Leonard is semi retired and spends most of his spare time working in the yard and garden with me. I am usually the idea person for a big project and he then becomes the project manager and I am just the helper.The latest project has been the Christmas lights and decorating the yard for Christmas and one of the reasons we received Yard of the Month.

Wow..congratulations on a beautiful yard! A lot of military bases we lived on had Yard of the Month contests going on. We won only once..but that was good enough for me!
