Lemony Nana Trifle
Our family loves pudding and our Lemony Nana Trifle is a recipe that our family loves to see on the table. It is a great combination of lemon and banana all rolled into a wonderful cool summertime dessert. We really enjoy this combination of flavor and hope you will to.

Add Another Layer of Each

Lemony Nana Trifle
Miz Helen's Kitchen
The Lemon Pudding
3/4 cup sugar
2 tablespoons cornstarch
3/4 cup milk
3 egg yolks
3 tablespoons lemon juice
1 teaspoon lemon zest
1 tablespoon butter
Mix sugar and cornstarch. Add milk and egg yolks. Mix well. Cook over medium heat until mixture is thick, stirring constantly. Remove from heat and add lemon juice, lemon zest and butter. Pour into bowl, place a piece of plastic wrap on top of the pudding to prevent a skin from forming. Cool completely before serving.
For The Layers
4 Bananas sliced
15 to 20 Vanilla Wafers
For The Trifle
In a deep bowl begin with a layer of Wafers, then Banana's, then Lemon Pudding. Repeat the layers ending with Pudding and Wafers. Refrigerate for at least 2 hours before serving.
Garnish
Garnish with whipped cream and mint or fresh berries and whipped cream.
