Berry Patch Muffins
Our Blueberry bush has just been loaded with berries this year, and we have had a very nice harvest. When I go out to pick the berries, I don't always make it back to the kitchen with all the berries, I just love eating them right off the bush. We have an organic growing system here so we never have to worry about the product having anything undesirable on it. I didn't eat all the berries today, so I am making these awesome muffins and you are just in time to share them with me.

Berry Patch Muffins
Miz Helen's Kitchen
2/3 cup vegetable shortening
1 cup sugar
3 eggs
3 cups flour
3 heaping teaspoons baking powder
1 teaspoon salt
1 cup milk
1 cup berries
Cream the shortening and sugar until fluffy.
Add the eggs, beating after each addition.
Sift together the flour, baking powder and salt
Add the dry ingredients alternately with milk and mix well
Add the berries and mix gently, not to break up the berries
Bake in greased muffin tins at 375 degrees for 15 to 20 minutes
The batter will keep in the refrigerator for two weeks, allowing you to have muffins every morning for a while
All Ready To Bake
Enjoy!
I am so glad that I had some of this batter in the refrigerator, so when you dropped by I could serve you these hot Berry Patch Muffins in just 15 minutes. Now don't forget your basket of muffins when you leave, hope you have a fabulous week and come back soon!
Peace and Joy
Miz Helen
