Whats For Dinner Next Week 8-3-13
Yes that's right August is here already, and so is the hot weather. We actually have been so blessed this summer with cooler weather that a little hot is not going to hurt us, would you like to remind me of that in a couple of weeks? I have got a Summer Harvest Bread in the oven and it smells so good, would you like to come back on the porch with me and have a glass of iced tea and a slice of this bread fresh out of the oven. Let's take a look at next weeks menu.

I made your Summer Harvest Bread this morning. I used hard whit wheat that I ground fresh, sucanat for the white sugar, had to use half carrots and half yellow squash. No zucchini. I also used coconut oil that had the flavor of coconut. My oh my, was it ever good when I cut it and we ate some while it was still warm.

Hi Charlotte,
DeleteI am so happy that you and your family enjoyed the Harvest Bread. I love how you made the recipe fit your pantry and your family, as home cooks that's what we do best. I will have to try the coconut oil, the flavor would be awesome. Thanks for stopping by to share the outcome with us. Have a great weekend!

Just wondered if you knew what had happened to A Cozy Place Called Home? I noticed on an old update your blog was one she had listed. I have not gotten an update in months. I tried to click on an old update and it said that was an error.
ReplyDeleteMy great grand daughter also likes the Summer Harvest Bread. She will be 20 months tomorrow.

Hi Charlotte,
DeleteIt looks like A Cozy Place Called Home is now a private blog read by invitation only. I have missed her as well, but have no idea what happened. Maybe someone will read this that can give us some information. I am always sad when one of the great bloggers just goes away. I am so happy that your Great Granddaughter liked the bread and hope you are having a great weekend!

Just found your blog via orgjunkies link up, the food here looks AMAZING! I think I'm going to try the Ranch House Casserole soon. Thanks so much for sharing!
ReplyDeleteMiz Helen, you have a great menu plan as always. I was in West TX last week, brought home some brisket and Blue Bell. LOL Oh how I wish I could get brisket here. The only brisket I can get is market trimmed, small pieces, and is very expensive.
