Whats For Dinner Next Week 10-6-13
We have had the most beautiful weather with some nice rain and you should just see how much our Fall Tomato Vines have grown with just a little bit of rain. I am really hoping that they will make before frost I need at least a bushel of green tomatoes so I can make some Chow Chow. If we start getting low on Chow Chow in the pantry that's like getting low on milk or eggs, you know some things are just a staple in the pantry and on the table. Come take a walk to the garden with me and we will look at the tomato vines and talk about the menu for next week.

Miz Helen, I just love reading your blog, takes me home. Steak strips, fries and cream gravy. What I wouldn't give to have a DQ near by to pick up a steak strip basket. We lived in West Texas, would go to the town of Andrews and eat at Buddy's for their steak strip plate. SOOO GOOD. Out here in CA, you get breaded chicken fried steak with brown gravy. Not in my kitchen mind you, but if we eat out. There is only a couple of places that have it made properly. Buck Owen's Chrystal Palace is the best.
