Welcome to Full Plate Thursday, I sure am glad to see you today. We have had a busy week, we just celebrated my sweet husbands birthday, he just gets younger every year, (so he says). We always have so much fun celebrating his special day. Today we are headed to the garden patio to enjoy a nice fall day in the great outdoors. I am going to serve my Herb Shortbread Cookies for our afternoon tea today. I can't wait to see what you are sharing today so lets get this food on the table!

Background Story For Full Plate Thursday
When
we were young and just
starting out in life sometimes we did not have a
lot of money. Most of our friends were
having to stretch the dollars
at the end of the month just like us. My
girlfriends and I decided that we
would pool our food for some of the
evening meals right before payday...
the last week of the month. I have some
of the fondest memories from those
days. We would all bring our food
together and we had some great food and
great fellowship. We would get the
food on the table and everything ready,
someone would bless the food and
then the hostess would say "come fill your
plate".
Thank You So Much For Coming Today and Come Back Soon!

ReplyDeleteGood Morning Miz Helen, I loved it when you said your husband is getting younger with each year, as my husband, George said that once he became 60 years of age he was going backwards in age. So in October he will be 55 years in George years, but really he is 65 years of age.
ReplyDeleteEnjoy your afternoon tea.
Best Wishes to you.
Daphne
