Mothers Day Salad Luncheon Collection
When I was a young woman, we would honor our Mothers by wearing a lovely corsage to church on Mothers Day. If your Mother was living you wore a red corsage and if she had passed you would wear a white corsage. One of the ladies in the community would have a Mothers Day Salad Luncheon and our church always hosted a Mother Daughter Luncheon with lots of wonderful salads. Those are some of the wonderful memories of amazing ladies who influenced my life, and I am so grateful that God put them in my life. If we were having a Mothers Day Salad Luncheon today, these might be some of the salads that we would find on the serving table.
Welcome To The Luncheon
Thanks so much for joining us for this special Mothers Day Luncheon. Hope you have a very special Mothers Day and have a fantastic week! We will be looking forward to seeing you again real soon!
Peace and Joy

ReplyDeleteI'm sorry I missed seeing this before Mother's Day but what a lovely collection of salads! I can definitely see using them for summer parties as well! Thanks Miz Helen!
ReplyDeleteYour church's tradition is so lovely, Miz Helen. What a great way to celebrate mothers, and also be sensitive to those who have lost their own. It also takes the focus off whether or not someone is a mother themselves, sometimes a painful subject for those who might not be able to have children. Your Mother's Day Salad Collection is such a great inspiration for Mother's Day lunch. It's hard to choose a favourite but I am very partial to the Creamy Lemon and Asparagus Salad! Happy Mother's Day!
