Pineapple Burger with Sriracha Sauce
May is National Burger Month and I have found a fantastic Burger to enjoy. Grilling season is here at last! This Pineapple Burger has great flavor with melted cheese, a grilled pineapple ring and avocado slices on a toasted bun with a spicy Sriracha Sauce. I found this recipe about a month ago and could hardly wait to try the burger and it was sure worth the wait.
Every month I get an opportunity to explore a new blog with the Secret Recipe Club. My assignment this month is Heather at Fit Mama Real Food. Heather and her husband have two precious children that she loves to photograph. Heather is a group fitness instructor and she has great fitness tips on her blog, along with a very creative DIY and Home Project section. She really enjoys developing recipes and presents very healthy recipes on her great blog. I will be trying her Low Sugar Blackberry Jam and Thai Peanut Chicken Pasta. Her Pineapple Burger with Sriracha Sauce is absolutely delicious, and certainly has been worth the wait! I sure hope you have a chance to stop by Heather's awesome blog and tell her I said Hi!

Miz Helen's Kitchen
Adapted from Fit Mama Real Food
Ingredients
Makes 4 Burgers
1 pound ground chuck
1 egg
1/4 cup Panko bread crumbs
1/2 cup chopped green onion
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
2 cloves garlic, minced
1 teaspoon sea salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/4 cup shredded mozzarella
4 pineapple rings
For The Sauce
1/3 cup mayonnaise
1 tablespoon sriracha
4 whole wheat hamburger buns, toasted
Suggested Toppings
Avocado, Grilled Onion, Spinach, Sliced Tomato
Directions
Combine the beef, egg, breadcrumbs, green onion, Worcestershire sauce, garlic, sea salt and pepper in a bowl. Mix thoroughly and form into 4 patties.
Pre-heat a grill or grill pan to medium-high heat. Cook burgers for 3-4 minutes on each side, or until done to your liking. When you flip the burgers to cook the second side, top with shredded cheese. When burgers are done cooking, set aside and add your pineapple to the pan. Grill both sides.
Mix together the mayo and sriracha, then spread on the buns. Add a burger patty and the pineapple, along with the toppings of your choice.
Enjoy!
