Nana's Chicken Salad Sandwich
Every once in a while I just want a chicken salad sandwich. When I roast or poach chicken one of the recipes I like to make is chicken salad. One of my granddaughters always ask for my chicken salad sandwich and I am so excited to make it for her, that means I get to have one as well. Of course a great Chicken Salad can be served many different ways , but today its our very special Chicken Salad Sandwiches.
This Recipe Is One Of Our Favorites
Nana's Chicken Salad Sandwich
Ingredients
Ingredients
3 cups cooked chicken, diced white meat
1 cup celery, chopped fine
1 gala or red delicious apple, peel on, chopped
3/4 cup cranberries
1 teaspoon thyme
1 teaspoon poultry seasoning
1 teaspoon dill weed
1 teaspoon dill weed
1 teaspoon salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 cup mayonnaise
1/2 cup sour cream
1/4 cup soft butter
Mini Croissants
Directions
Mix the mayonnaise, sour cream and seasons together until completely blended.
Place the diced chicken, celery, apple and cranberries in a large bowl and mix well.
Pour the mayonnaise mixture over the chicken mix and mix well.
Chill in the refrigerator for a least 2 hours before serving.
Spread the Croissants with soft butter and spoon the chicken salad on.
Garnish with fresh dill.
