Green Chili Chop Steak
It's Green Chili season here and many of the open air markets are roasting Green Chilies. The smell of the chilies roasting is amazing and the flavor of the chili is one of my favorites. Today we are preparing our Green Chili Chop Steak that is made with our roasted green chilies and topped off with a great Green Chili Sauce. We will be serving our steak with a great Refried Bean Hash making this a very special plate of food.

Love, love, love Hatch green chile season! The air around the store parking lots is full of that wonderful smokey green chile aroma as they are roasted. We buy them in 35 pound boxes around here. I share some and put most of them in the freezer to have all year. It is amazing that I run out just as it is time to get some fresh.

That looks so good! I used to grow chilies that looked a lot like that and I'd grill them and eat them just like that! Now I need to plant them next year so I can try this with them, I just know I'll love it!
