We are so excited to see you today for Full Plate Thursday, we have been saving you a place at the table. We have a new screen porch so come on back and enjoy the new porch with us, we will be enjoying all of your fantastic food on our community table that we have set up on the porch. I always look forward to Thursday and Full Plate Thursday, it is a highlight of my week and thanks so much for coming to the party today!

Background Story For Full Plate Thursday
When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the week. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".

ReplyDeleteHello Miz Helen, Thank you so much for hosting once again. How exciting to have a new screen porch - I have lovely memories of a screen porch my late Dad built when I was a child. It's so nice sitting out without the bugs, particularly in the evenings. This week I've brought a delicious Spiced Banana Nut Loaf with Ginger Glaze to the party. Have a lovely weekend!
