Whats For Dinner Next Week 1-7-18
Happy New Year Everyone! I know that some of you are really experiencing some very cold weather with snow drifts up to a foot or more. It has been cold here but not enough snow to have fun in. Icy Cold weather really calls for lots of comfort food and meals that will stay with us through the cold weather. I am curled up with a great cup of Hot Chocolate and ready to make a meal plan for next week.

I had to laugh at your "Gas station style" tacos Miz Helen!! There are some gas stations that do have great food! Hope everything is delicious next week!

Hi Jenna,
DeleteI know it is pretty funny, but in Dallas that is where you can get some really good tacos, almost like street tacos. Thanks so much for stopping by!

Looks tasty, as always. Btw, I made your black eyed pea casserole for New Year's Day and it was a hit! I altered it a little based on what I had on hand. For instance, I didn't have enough sour cream so I used plain yogurt for the rest. I cooked some dried black eyed peas in my Instant Pot rather than canned and used frozen corn. I didn't have fresh jalapenos so I chopped up a few slices from a jar. Even my mom who doesn't like black eyed peas loved it.
ReplyDeleteSo excited to hear that you and your family liked the Black Eyed Pea Casserole. I love it that you used the ingredients that you had on hand, that the sign of a good cook, which you are! Thanks so much for the kind words and stopping by!
