Garden Forecast: To Wet To Plow
Usually by this time of the year, our onions have been planted along with our early greens, peas and potatoes, but not this year. We have had more rainfall than ever in recorded history, the ground is completely saturated and there is literally no place for it to go. Our lakes and rivers are all full and we haven't even come into the spring rainy season. When we try to start our spring gardening we just bog down in the would be rows, this year it is just "to wet to plow".
The Seeds Were Ordered
Usually By This Time Our Rows Are In
and The Onions Are Planted
Without Our Helper Max
We Would Not Get A Thing Planted
Not This Year!
This Year I have planted The Onions, Lettuce, and
Rainbow Swiss Chard In The Lettuce Tub
The Onions In The Center Of
The Tub Are Just Peeking Through
We Might Be Doing Container Gardening
This Year
But We Will Still Hope That The Rain Will Let Up
And
The Ground Will Dry So
It Won't Be To Late To Plow.
The Herbs In The Kitchen Herb Garden
Made It Through The Winter
The Oregano Is Very Hardy
The Basil Will Be Planted Later
We Do Have Some Fun Herbs Growing
In The Kitchen Window
Sweet Basil, Rosemary and Mint
The Lovely Pink Hyacinth
Is Blooming
I Placed The Hyacinth In The Bulb Vase

I Love Watching The Beautiful Roots Grow
The Bloom Is A Beautiful Color

We will most likely be doing some container gardening this year and I am really looking forward to the adventure. Thanks for sharing our garden journey with us and hope to see you again real soon!
