Slow Cooker Spiral Ham With Pineapple
We Start The Recipe By Trimming The Ham
There are many brands of Spiral Cut Ham and I do have favorites, but usually I come home from the market with the one that is on sale. I bought the one I am cooking today on sale an 8.95 pound ham for only $8.58 and that is a great price for our area. In order to fit the ham into a 7 quart slow cooker, we removed the hock end of the ham. I just use my husbands little saw and saw it right off, if you don't have a little saw, your butcher will be happy to remove it for you. Then I freeze the hock end of the ham and it is ready for a delicious ham and beans.
Turn The Whole Ham Upside Down
On The Cutting Board
Then Remove The Hock End Of The Ham
The Hock Is Removed and
The Ham Will Now Fit In The Slow Cooker
That Is A Beautiful Ham Hock and
Will Be Delicious In
A Special Pot Of Beans.
Now Lets Get The Ham In The Slow Cooker
and Cover It With Special Sauce.
Place The Pineapple and Cherries

This looks sooooo good! I use my slow cooker for ham and almost always use pineapple juice. Your addition of maple syrup sounds so good.... but I don't see where/ when it is added to the mixture. Does it go in the pot with everything else to cook, or do you pour the cooked mixture over and then add/ drizzle the maple syrup?? Thanks!!!!
