How To Make Sloppy Joe Casserole
In A Large Skillet
Cook The Ground Beef and Vegetables
Brown The Ground Beef and
Cook Until The Onions Are Clear
And The Vegetables Tender
Add The Cooked Pasta
Pour The Mix Into A Baking Dish and Bake
Add Cheese To The Hot Casserole
Garnish With Fresh Parsley
Sloppy Joe Casserole

Serves 10-12
Ingredients
8 ounces dry Elbow Macaroni
2 pounds ground chuck
2 cloves garlic, chopped fine
1 medium green bell pepper, chopped
1 medium red bell pepper, chopped
1 large onion, chopped
1 cup carrots, chopped
2 teaspoons salt
1 teaspoon pepper
1/2 teaspoon cayenne pepper
1 (15 ounce) can tomato sauce
1-1/2 cups pasta water
1 tablespoon Worcestershire Sauce
1 teaspoon dry mustard
1/4 cup brown sugar
1 cup sharp cheddar cheese, shredded
Garnish : Fresh Parsley
Directions
In well salted water boil the Macaroni for 3 minutes, drain reserving 1-1/2 cups of the pasta water. Set the Macaroni and the pasta water aside.
In a large skillet, brown the ground beef until almost done through.
Add the garlic, bell peppers, onion, and carrots.
Stir in the salt, pepper, cayenne, tomato sauce and pasta water, Worcestershire Sauce, dry mustard, and brown sugar.
Cook this mix until the onions are clear and the vegetables are tender.
Pour the mix into a 9X13 baking dish and bake at 350 degrees for 30 minutes.
Remove the casserole from the oven and sprinkle the cheese on top.
Garnish with Fresh Parsley
