Green Chili Chicken Burgers With Green Chili Sauce
We really enjoy the addition of Green Chilis in any Tex-Mex recipe, they just have such a special flavor. Our Green Chili Chicken Burgers are very flavorful with a touch of fresh cilantro and other great spices. The Green Chili Sauce sets this burger apart from others. This is one of my husbands favorite Chicken Burgers, so I am going to spoil him a little bit today and make it very special just for him!
My husband tested positive for Covid 19, 3 days ago, he is at home and doing very well. We are very grateful that he is able to stay at home so we can take really good care of him and spoil him a little.

Hey Helen,
ReplyDeleteI'll add your husband to our prayer list.
I do like small burgers and may I tell you what my grandbabies and I did when they were little and fussed about the burger sliding apart. Pull the bread out of the top of the bun and the burger will fit perfectly in the top with the tomato and lettuce. The burger will stay together and you won't need several napkins to hold it together.
P.S. save the bread from the top in a freezer bag for when you need breadcrumbs.

ReplyDeleteI am so glad Leonard recovered from Covid! Your Chili Chicken Burgers look absolutely delicious, Miz Helen, perfect for this time of year. Thank you for sharing and for being a part of the Hearth and Soul Link Party Community. I hope you are having a wonderful week!
ReplyDeleteI am so very glad to have found your recipe. It is very similar to one that one of our favorite Mexican restaurants serves. My only question is that despite squeezing out the chicken and draining the chilies, the meat was very wet and fell apart when cooking or eating. Thinking of adding an egg next time. Do you have any other suggestions? Falling apart definitely did not ruin the burger. It’s a real winner!!!
ReplyDeleteHello, I am so glad you enjoyed the recipe. I have not had any issue with the burger falling apart. The only suggestion I can give you is that I always work with ground chicken very cold, almost to the freezing mark. Be sure not to over work the patty, that will make it fall apart. Hope this will help the burger hold together better for you. Thanks so much for stopping by and enjoy the burger!
