Welcome To Full Plate Thursday! With just 2 weeks left in
August some folks are getting in some last-minute R&R before the fall rush
begins, others are getting ready to start school. This year our school starts
are very different, starting at different times, some not starting at all and
others attending virtual classrooms at their home. Some of our food ideas begin
to turn to weeknight family meals, afterschool snacks and food budgets to help
feed the family. We have some great features from last weeks party that we are
sharing with you and hope that you will stop by these talented bloggers and say
hello! I can’t wait to see what you will be bringing to share with us at the
party, Thursday’s are so special!

Full Plate Thursday Background Story
When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the month. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".
