If it is appetizer desserts for a friends party or special treats for the family this is a great go to recipe, and they look so pretty. This special treat has a spicy cookie cup and then it is filled with spicy cherry yum. We top it off with a great white glaze drizzled on top. Making Cherry Cookie Cups
Lets Get This Recipe Started
One think that helps make this recipe so simple is using a roll of refrigerated sugar cookie dough. We cut the dough in half and then slice each half into 12 slices.
Each half of the dough roll is sliced with a very sharp knife.
Take each slice and roll it into a ball.
Then roll the ball in the sugar and spice mix.
Place the rolled cookie dough into a mini muffin pan.
make the cherry filling for the cups.
Bake the cookie cups and remove from the oven. The center will be a little the center will sink just a little.
While the cookie cups are still warm press the center of the cookie cup to make an indentation in the center of the cookie cup.
Fill each of the cookie cups with the cherry filling. Place back in the oven to bake just a little longer.
Let the cookie cups cool for a while before taking out of the muffin tin.
Drizzle the glaze over the top of the cherry filling and let set. Should be refrigerated after serving.
