We are really enjoying the spring days of outdoor activities, we have several projects this time of the year. We have been really busy with our gardens, preparing and planting our summer gardens, I can't wait for all those fresh vegetables. I had my husband tighten my clothes lines so I could enjoy hanging my laundry on the line, it smells so fresh when I bring it in. I had a young friend stop by to take a look at the clothes line with the laundry on the line, she had never seen a real one before. I shared with her how much electric power I save when we don't use the clothes dryer.
Thanks so much for coming to the party today, we saved a place at the table for you!
This weeks line up is awesome as usual! I just love the banana ideas off to check it out thanks for hosting and have a great weekend!
ReplyDeleteThat is so funny that someone you know had never seen a real clothesline before! We grew up with them and I definitely remember helping my mother in law hand/ bring in laundry when I was in high school and college.
ReplyDeleteI also got a chuckle out of the youngster who had never seen a clothes line, Not only did we have the clothesline but as a young girl on the farm, I've scrubbed many clothes (to include overalls) on a scrub board and boiled white clothes in the big black pot in the back yard--hard work but I do miss those days. Much simpler life back then.
DeleteGood morning, Miz Helen! I know you’re excited about your garden and all the produce you’ll be getting. It was nice for your young friend to see a clothesline and the savings in electricity. Thank you for hosting, and have a great week.
ReplyDeleteClothes line dried clothes are the best, especially the sheets! The first thing we did here in MT was put up the clothesline. I am off to see the banana recipes list, I always need help with what to do with bananas besides another loaf of bread...thanks so much for featuring my post Grandma's Two Day Sweet Pickle Slices, I sure appreciate it! Have a great week ahead, take care.
ReplyDeleteThanks so much Miz Helen! It must be wonderful to have a garden of fresh vegetables!
