Southern Candied Carrots
Southern Candied Carrots are a very special side dish that often times shows up at family dinners and celebrations. This recipe is made with fresh carrots right out of the garden and seasoned to perfection. The carrots take very little time to prepare and they are ready to be served. I remember these delicious carrots on many a holiday table when our family all came together. I am grateful that the recipe was passed on to me for all of us to enjoy!

How To Make Southern Candied Carrots
I peeled the carrots and cut them with a waffle cutter. I really love the waffle cutter for these carrots so
the spices and liquid holds on to the delicious flavors.
In a small mixing bowl, whisk together
the brown sugar, cinnamon, nutmeg, salt and dried thyme.
Place the carrots into a baking dish and
pour the melted butter over the carrots.
Stir the carrots until covered with the melted butter.
Sprinkle all the spice mix over all of the carrots. Toss the carrots until completely covered with the spice mixture.
Last drizzle honey on top of the carrots.
Place a lid on the baking dish and bake in the oven. Remove from the over after 20 minutes and stir. Then Remove the lid and cook a little longer without the lid.
