Old Fashioned Blueberry Crisp
An Old Fashioned Blueberry Crisp is so easy to put together and the flavor is always spot on. I remember my Grandmother coming to her kitchen with a little pale of blueberries that she just picked from her orchard. That night there would be a beautiful crisp coming out of the oven, and I could hardly wait to have a serving of the crisp. This is a very simple recipe that can be served for any occasion. This is one of our favorite fruit desserts.

How To Make
Old Fashioned Blueberry Crisp
We will start this recipe with a bowl full of fresh blueberries that have been cleaned and washed. Then toss in lemon juice.
Whisk together sugar, salt, cornstarch.
Add dry mix to the blueberries and lemon juice, then mix well.
Pour the berry mix into a 8 X 8 baking dish.
In a mixing bowl, whisk together the
flour, oats, baking powder, sugar, salt.
Add the softened butter to the flour mix.
Using a couple of forks blend the butter into the flour mixture, blend until the butter has been completely incorporated.
Place the topping on top of the blue berries.
Place in the oven and bake 45 minutes to 1 hour.
Let cool for 30 minutes before serving.
Recipe
Yes it will boil over the edge just a bit.
I like to garnish with some whipped cream and a little mint.
