Retro Sausage Balls With Sauce
Our Retro Sausage Balls are a holiday staple at our house. I remember when I was a very young homemaker and we were all using the Bisquick Mix for lots of different recipes and this is one of the special recipes that I used it for. This is one of those appetizer recipes that goes together really fast. The recipe can be made ahead and can be frozen for up to 3 months. The sausage balls are great served by themselves or with a special dipping sauce. One of the ways I like to serve them is with a cranberry sauce warmed in the slow cooker, this is so good!

How To Make Retro Sausage Balls
In an electric mixing bowl mix shredded cheese, Bisquick mix,
spicy breakfast sausage, and 1/2 cup milk.
With a tablespoon scoop, scoop your sausage balls and then place them on a cookie sheet. At this point you can place the sheet into the freezer and when the balls are frozen, then place them in a
freezer bag. When ready to cook, bake them in a
375 degree oven for 25 minutes.
You can cook the sausage balls when they are rolled and on the sheet. Bake at 350 degrees for 20 to 25 minutes. These are ready to serve or you can let them cool and freeze them cooked.
I love to place the sausage balls into a small slow cooker in a cranberry sauce. Served warm, this is a delicious appetizer.
