Slow Cooker Bread Pudding
This is the most delicious bread pudding and makes a wonderful dessert for any occasion. The recipe is very easy to put together with very few ingredients. It is definitely one of my favorite go to desserts when I don't have a lot of time to spend on a fantastic dessert. How To Make
How To Make
Slow Cooker Bread Pudding
I like to start with a loaf of day old French Bread. I don't want the bread to be to fresh or it won't hold up with all the custard. I start the process by chopping the bread in medium cubes.
I pour the large eggs, brown sugar, ground nutmeg, cinnamon, and vanilla for the custard into a very large mixing bowl.
Whisk the heavy cream, milk and melted butter into the egg mixture.
Add the cubed French Bread into the custard mix. Push the bread down to make sure it is all soaked with the custard mix.
Stir the pecans and baking chips into the bread and custard mixture.
After coating the slow cooker with a spray cooking oil, spoon the bread pudding mixture into the slow cooker. Place the lid on the cooker and cook on low for 2 hours.
