Celebrating Our Path Of Totality, Texas Style
We have been reading about and hearing about the total solar eclipse for well over a year now. It was about 6 months ago that some of the news sources here began to report that our community was in fact in the Path Of Totality. Plans were underway by the commercial and private communities to provide lodging and food sources for the thousands of people that were going to be converging on our little country and lake communities.
Just what was this all about, on April 8, 2024 the moon will be in its new moon form, it will appear to be very large and would be capable of covering the sun as viewed from a narrow path of totality. A once in a lifetime opportunity for us to see God's work right here in our own back yard. The event will not happen here in the USA again until 2044.
Our weather man is predicting a light cover of clouds, but we will have a clearing right before the actual eclipse occurs. The totality of the eclipse here should last just under 4 minutes.
I have so many questions, what will the birds do, what will our little puppy Cody do, will the flower's close their buds.

At this point in time we have a lot of excitement and more questions than answers. I think that may be the real thrill to all unknown adventures. We will get to find the answers while we are in the dark for about 4 minutes. I will be back soon to give you all the answers I found. In the mean time we will celebrate with some great Tex-Mex food with friends and family right here in my own back yard! We are truly blessed!
