Full Plate Thursday, 715
Hello and welcome to Full Plate Thursday, 715. I am very excited to see you here at the party today. Each week we feature some of the most popular post from the last weeks post, that we all look forward to each week. We have some of the most talented food bloggers that come to our party each week, it is an amazing blogging community. We are out on the flagstone patio today, we have a nice fire to sit around and enjoy our party, as always we have saved you a seat at the table.
A Special Note
At posting time tonight the Hurricane Milton will be close to landfall on the coast of Florida then to work its way up the east coast. At the time of my writing Milton is a category 5 hurricane. We have been told that it will be devastating for that area. We are praying for all of the folks that will be in the path of this horrible storm. Our prayers continue for all the folks in the Carolina's that were devastated from Hurricane Helene last week. My heart just goes out to all of these folks.
Full Plate Thursday Background Story
When we were young and just starting out in life sometimes we did not have a lot of money. Most of our friends were having to stretch the dollars at the end of the month just like us. My girlfriends and I decided that we would pool our food for some of the evening meals right before payday... the last week of the month. I have some of the fondest memories from those days. We would all bring our food together and we had some great food and great fellowship. We would get the food on the table and everything ready, someone would bless the food and then the hostess would say "come fill your plate".The Code Is On The Side Bar
