Baked Glazed Apple Fritters
This recipe for Baked Glazed Apple Fritters is a very special treat for any brunch or breakfast. We enjoy a great brunch or breakfast on the weekend when we can enjoy some time to relax and just be together. I just love making a special treat for those times to give some extra love to my friends and family. This is a very simple recipe to make with just a few ingredients and doesn't take to much time. The flavors are amazing!

How To Make Baked Glazed Apple Fritters
In a large mixing bowl, whisk together the flour, brown sugar, baking powder, salt, cinnamon and nutmeg.
Place the ice cold butter cubes into the dry flour mixture.
With a pastry cutter work the butter with the flour mixture until there are very small pea like pieces.
Place the chopped apples into the flour mixture.
Gently fold the apples with the flour mixture.
Whisk until completely blended.
Pour the milk mixture into the dry flour mixture and fold together.
The batter will be very thick.
on a parchment covered cookie sheet.
Bake for 12 to 14 minutes until the tops are slightly browned.
While the fritters are baking, make the glaze in a small mixing bowl.
While the fritters are still hot,
brush one coat of the glaze on the fritters. Place them back in the oven for about 2 minutes for the sugar to caramelize.
Remove from the oven and dust with a light coat of powered sugar, if you want to dress it up a bit.
Let cool on a cooling rack until ready to serve.

Does this recipe make about 10 portions as shown in the picture? It's always nice to have an idea. These look easy and great--no frying in oil!!
ReplyDeleteThe recipe makes 12 Fritters, the yield is on the top of the recipe card. It really depends on how small or large you want to make them. I actually made 12 from the recipe. Hope you enjoy the recipe and thanks so much for stopping by!
